Evening another great week working in gym twice a day looking forward to the 2026 Frank Bruno tour starting next week. I mentioned that my pal Charlie Magri had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s I am delighted to be involved with a Benefit Evening in aid of Charlie at the Manor of Groves Hotel, near Harlow on Fri 24 April. A three-course meal. There will be a top comedian and some musical entertainment oh and I’ll be doing a Q&A. A number of former World Champions will be attending. Tickets are £50 each.

Afternoon so good win for West Ham and you know the win put me in a really good mood. It’s amazing how sport can affect you like that goes back to my days with my dad either watching on TV or listening on the radio the Muhammad Ali fights he would have been 84 yesterday he was my biggest influence in boxing and it was great to be in his company and he had an amazing sense of humour sadly missed. Evening I am sorry I seem to be forever asking for donations but just read this before you disappear this story should make a book or a film or both. So a Gentleman called Daniel met the love of his life got engaged & Caroline contracted Cancer and passed away at St Francis Hospice in 2024 what Daniel decided to do was walk on his own no support team from East London to Kumasi in Ghana & take his loved one’s ashes to her family he is doing a daily dairy on Facebook he wants to raise money for the hospice. This story has touched me and hopefully you read his story and if you can offer a minimum amount I know you will. But make sure you spread the word this is a love story like no other
