Afternoon, my office reminded me of predictions I made about Daniel in 2019 (I’ll let you look them up!) Well last night’s fight—— It was an epic war, I’m not sure I have seen such a well words escape me Heroic, magnificent, glorious, legendary, fight in years I did feel the fight should have been stopped possibly earlier but what a fight I am glad Daniel listened to all my advice over the years he he!! His dad I met many years ago when we both used to go roller skating who told me about his amazing Son who one day would be a World Champion boxer. I laughed when I saw his dad still giving fatherly advice in no uncertain terms!! Morning I was thinking of doing this tribute yesterday but the Worlds media was full of it. I could never equal a Royal tribute, but when you look at this life of Sir David he is bigger than a celebrity he is an icon and stands out being unique in his field of expertise. I loved the films with the Gorilla’s and monkeys then again if there was ever relaxing stress free TV the planet series especially underwater. I would make his programmes essential viewing in schools for teenagers whose mind are filled with many other things. I don’t think I have ever met Sir David an honour still to be achieved. So this weekend as a family get catch up on turn off the phones and relive some amazing programmes check out Meerkats Utd!! Morning so it’s a day for voting!! As I travel the UK and people moan about everything especially politics & what’s wrong in the Country. I say to them who did you vote for last time and 90% of the people say “Oh no I don’t vote it doesn’t make any difference anyway?” So without getting political if you want to see changes you need to vote if not just accept what happens. On the other hand I have had so many promises from politician’s over the years of changes that would be made concerning mental health guess what? I have not heard of any changes for the better. Please meet Ellie James, who founded the campaign for Owain’s Law. Ellie’s husband Owain was 36 when he died from glioblastoma. While he was still fighting, they found out that the tissue from his brain surgery had not been stored correctly, which meant continuing his personalised treatment options were gone. Nobody had told them this was happening. Nobody asked. It is standard NHS practice (allegedly!) and it is happening to brain tumour patients every day. A simple change to the law and for a tiny cost to the NHS, all brain tumour patients could keep their options open, improve research for others, and have a right to hope! Owain’s Law is asking the Government give patients Consent, Control and Choice on how their brain tumour tissue is stored and used. Petition needs 100,000 signatures by 26th June 2026, the second anniversary of Owain’s death. A signature from you could make an enormous difference!
